Dear Friends,

Life has a way of guiding us toward unexpected paths, and while our original plans have shifted, I’m excited to share this special retreat with you. Though Mika won’t be joining us this time, the weekend ahead promises to be just as nourishing and restorative.

We’ll embrace the beauty of Oaklands, surrounded by nature, while indulging in deep relaxation and self-care. This retreat is about taking a pause, reconnecting with ourselves, and finding peace in the present moment.

I can’t wait to welcome you, to share in the serenity, and to create beautiful memories together.

ABOUT SARAH BENTZ AND JIVAMUKTI YOGA

Sarah Bentz is the Director of Living Yoga in Parkwood, Johannesburg, one of South Africa’s only affiliated Jivamukti Yoga studios, and a 300-hour certified Jivamukti teacher. She is eternally grateful to her beloved teachers Sharon Gannon, David Life, and Jeffrey Cohen for inspiring her along this path to liberation through compassion for all beings.

Jivamukti Yoga is based on five tenets of practice: Ahimsa (non-harming), Bhakti (devotion), Shastra (study of yoga texts), Dhyana (meditation), and Nada (sound and vibration). Over the past nearly 20 years, Sarah has trained in Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, Ayurveda, and Yoga therapy and has conducted countless trainings herself. She currently resides and teaches in Noordhoek, Cape Town.

Yoga has had and continues to have a profoundly positive impact on her life, and she teaches to share her experiences with as many people as possible. Sarah draws on ancient yogic texts like the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras, as well as her own experiences with Yoga, Buddhism, Vipassana meditation, and her love of music, dance, and life in general, to teach mentally and physically uplifting and challenging classes. She continues to study and practice to provide genuine and authentic teachings.
