|Cherryl Duncan started teaching Yoga in 2005 and opened the first Living Yoga school in Johannesburg, (South African’s only affiliate Jivamukti Yoga studio). She is an 800 hour, Advanced Board Certified Jivamukti teacher, and leads retreats and workshops in and around South Africa as well as India, Bali, Madagascar and Mozambique. She has appeared in and written for many publications such as Yoga Awakening, Longevity, Marie Claire, Essentials, Woman and Home, and recently appeared on the cover of Complete Yoga.
Often described as having strong energy, impassioned expressiveness, her inspirational style of teaching integrates the physical as well as the spiritual aspects of Yoga always deeply inspired by her continuos study of scripture from both the Yoga and Buddhist traditions. Other trainings include Tibetan Heart Yoga teacher training, Series 1 and 2 as well as Meditation with the Asian classics institute and a 10 day Vipassana Mediation course.(My work is dedicated to the welfare and happiness of all beings.
